Great King Johannes I visits the Kingdom of Torgu during school trip

Great King Johannes I made an unofficial visit to the territory of the Kingdom of Torgu on 11 June during a school trip to the Sõrve peninsula in Saaremaa.

The visit included a stop at the lighthouse located at the southern tip of Saaremaa, within the historic territory of the Kingdom of Torgu, which is considered Estonia's oldest micronation.

During the visit, Johannes I purchased a Torgu thaler from the local museum shop. The store is one of the few that accepts the thaler as legal tender within the micronation.

The coin will be added to the collection of the Great Royal Museum.
