Dear people of Slitronia, Ukraine, and everyone else. A great tragedy has occurred. Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced, that Russia recognizes the independence of the two separatist states located in eastern Ukraine, them being the Donetsk Peoples Republic and the Luhansk Peoples Republic. This in itself would not be bad, if the people of the mentioned countries were fighting for real independence, instead of fighting for the most likely unification with Russia. Russia has also offered military aid to Donetsk and Luhansk, which assumably gives the Russian military another place to strike Ukraine from. As the Great King of Slitronia, I do not recognize the independence of the separatist "republics" of Donetsk and Luhansk, nor do I approve of the Military actions Russia has taken, and which they likely will continue taking against Ukraine. Lastly, I wish to wish strength and support to every Ukrainian, to every micronation located there, and to everybody else, who this conflict affects. - Johannes I, The Great King of Slitronia
