The First Slitronian Expedition to the Kasari Islands

An expedition to the Territory of Kasari Islands, the largest uninhabited administrative division of Slitronia, took place on June 22nd. The expedition was led by Great King Johannes I, along with General Joonas and Uku II. The journey began in Kärdla, the capital of Hiiumaa in Estonia. From there, the team cycled to the Ninaotsa campsite at the tip of the Kõrgessaare peninsula.

During the expedition, the team observed four out of the six islands in the Kasari Territory: Great King Johannes I Island (with the Estonian name Ninalaid), High General Roland's Island (Ninarahu), General Joonas' Island (unnamed), and April Island (Külalaid). They did not enter the Territory itself but viewed the islands from the Estonian coast.

Johannes I Island, the second-largest island, spans over 700 meters, was observed to feature sandy areas and grass. In contrast, Roland's and Joonas' islands are mostly rocky. All three were covered with many nautical birds. April Island, located near the Paope peninsula, was observed from a distance and was observed as the only island covered with trees. However, due to the greater distance, more detailed observations were not possible.

Satellite images suggest that these islands could potentially be reached by foot through low water. However, the team did not attempt this due to uncertain water depths and to avoid disturbing birds' nesting, due to the location of the islands being near a nature reserve.

The other two islands, Revalian Island (Elmrahu) and an unnamed island, were not observed. Revalian Island was obscured by April Island, and the unnamed island lies far between the Kõrgessaare and Paope peninsulas, closer to the Riidamaa peninsula.

The Kasari Islands are one of the oldest administrative divisions of Slitronia. Johannes I, Roland's, and Joonas' islands were originally part of the territory planned for the predecessor to Slitronia, the Khuulide Khuttide Khlubi.
